MECOOL KM3 Google Certified TV Box is the latest model with an Amlogic S905X2 processor and is the first certified smart device on such a CPU. Mecool KM3 TV Box, which already comes with Android 9 Pie, has also been certified by Google, which means that it can run programs safely and complies with all Google requirements.
The graphics processor also includes the new Mali G31 MP2 GPU, but it is not surprising that this processor is slightly better than the older Mali-400, but the difference is not significant. The maximum TV resolution is 2160p 4K UHD, of course, this requires a TV with this resolution. There is also HDR and 3D support.
The Mecool KM3 TV Box is well equipped with integrated connectors. USB 2.0 has a high-speed USB 3.0 connection, it also has a physical LAN connector, but unfortunately, it’s only 100MBit / s (I don’t understand why they saved it). Besides the LAN, we can, of course, connect to the Internet via WiFi, which is also dual-band, so it knows the 2.4GHz band at 5GHz. We also get a Bluetooth 4.1 adapter that easily connects external devices.
Your remote control is also capable of receiving voice commands, you can search with it on Youtube, but thanks to the Google certificate you can connect it to Google Home, so it can also be used to control other devices with sound. The Mecool KM3 TV Box is now running the latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system, plus the official Android TV version.
